This is a notification of an upcoming change that impacts several of the Precision Associates, Inc. (PAI) FDA Fluorocarbon compounds. This notification is intended to meet the change notification requirements included in any quality or supply agreements we have in place with your company. If no agreement is in place, we are fulfilling our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality and service.

We have been informed by Chemours, the manufacturer of Viton™, that as of January 1, 2023 the bisphenol cured polymers used to manufacturer Viton products will no longer be classified as FDA materials. Although the material’s FDA classification is changing, the formulation, including all material properties and specification will remain the same. This change impacts the following PAI compounds: 8648, 8748, 8848, 8948, 8737, 48748, and 48765.

If your application requires FDA material, we have several options for replacement compounds that may meet your requirements. Please contact your sales representative for information related to substitute compounds. If your application does not require FDA material, you may disregard this notification.
