This is a notification regarding the planned reformulation of Precision Associates, Inc. (PAI) general purpose silicone compound 19711. This notification is intended to meet the change notification requirements included in any quality or supply agreements we have in place with your company. If no agreement is in place, we are fulfilling our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality and service.

Due to recent unprecedented supply chain disruptions, several ingredients used in one of our general purpose silicone compounds are in extremely short supply, if available at all. In order to ensure PAI’s ability to consistently and reliably supply silicone products that meet the needs of our customers, as well as avoid future supply chain disruption, we decided to proactively evaluate alternative materials. Our evaluation is complete, and we have identified a suitable equivalent for compound 19711.

The new formulation meets or exceeds the same specifications and has the same physical properties per the below standards:

ASTM D2000     3 FC 710 A19 B37 EO16 F1-11 EA14

Internal qualification activities included:
  1. Testing both physical and processing characteristics to match as closely as possible to the original.
  2. Recertifying to the same material standards as the original.
PAI would be happy to quote any additional qualification requirements you may have. As has always been the case, we provide no assurance to you that our compounds are suitable for your application, or that they will meet your performance standards. You are responsible for those qualifications.
